Digital modernisation of an established business.

Situated in the Derby and Derbyshire area, Gadsby Nichols are a leading independent estate agency with over 25 years experience in the property industry.

The client recently underwent a full rebranding exercise and required a website that retained the professional and long-established nature of the business, whilst modernising the design and functionality to align this with their new creative and reflect the forward thinking approach of the company.

The website needed to be intuitive, navigable and welcoming to visitors, whilst incorporating a number of specific new features through the integration of existing systems.

Improving aesthetics, features and functionality....

We worked closely with the business and their newly established brand guidelines to ensure continuity across all marketing presences and collateral. The entire website structure, content, design, and approach in general was re-addressed to make every element of the website contemporary whilst consistently focusing on user journey and marketability.

In addition to a full bespoke redesign, we also developed a customised live feed and integration between the website and Vebra Alto, the business’ property management, cloud-based software. This enabled full automation between the properties for sale on the internal system and the website, plus numerous online estate agency portals such as Rightmove. This, combined with a move to a more adaptable CMS in WordPress, alleviated what was once quite a manual process.

As part of the project, we also developed advanced property search functionality to enable visitors to refine their search by a number of additional criteria – a unique feature compared with local competitors.

They way the website was developed also gave the business the adaptability required to quickly make website updates and changes, whilst ensuring customer properties were on the site instantly or displayed as a featured property. To emphasise the customer focus of Gadsby Nichols and to make this even more welcoming, new meet the team and blog sections were created.

The overall goal was to create a website that was simple for Gadsby Nichols to update themselves, had a professional appearance and was ultimately very user-friendly. We took the time to make the Vebra Alto integration seamless , allowing the business to run automated reports on website activity regularly.
